For the selection procedure in the Telangana Police Department, a candidate must qualify in the below-mentioned segments:-

Male Applicants:
- Height – 167.6 cms
- Chest – Minimum- 86.3 cms and minimum expansion of 5 cms.
Female Applicants:
- Height – 157.5 cms
- Weight – 47 Kgs
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): (Men candidates): Candidates must qualify in any of the three (3) events which include 800 mtrs run, out of the five (5) events of the Physical Efficiency Test as detailed below:

III) Final Written Examination (FWE).
The selection of candidates for Telangana Police Recruitment is done through written examination, Preliminary Test (PT), followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Final Written Examination (FWE). The final selection will be made strictly on the relative merit of the candidates in each category, as obtained by them based on their score in the final written examination out of a maximum of 200 marks.
