Congress won 64 seats in the assembly elections and took power. BRS, which gave tough competition to Congress, stopped at 39 seats. BJP won 8 seats while MIM again won 7 seats. In the 119-seat Telangana Assembly, the parties will need to reach the magic number of 64 to form a government.BJP won more seats than the last two elections. The party won five seats in 2014 and only one seat in 2018, but this time its strength has increased to 8 seats. In the Telangana election, BRS candidate Vivekanand won from Kuthbullapur with the largest majority in the state. He won with a majority of 85,000 against the BJP candidate. Later, BRS candidate Harish Rao won from Siddipet with 82 thousand votes. MIM candidate Akbaruddin Owaisi won from Chandrayana Gutta by a margin of 81 thousand votes. From Kukatpally, BRS candidate Madhavaram Krishna Rao won a majority of 70 thousand votes.
